We will have classes, labs, social meetups, and parent talks to connect our campers and create community. C&! consists of small group classes taught by authorities in the field who want to work with kids. Activities and instruction are geared towards learners with boundless curiosity.
When will camp dates be announced?
Camp dates and applications are typically announced in November prior to the summer session. Campersand is a one-week, in-person program typically held in late June or July. The exact dates vary each year based on several factors, including faculty and facility availability, school calendars across the U.S., and the schedules of peer camps.

Applicants ages 9 to 18 are invited to apply.
Do Parents attend camp?
Yes, Campersand is a family residential camp. A parent or guardian is required to be onsite. We offer various opportunities for parent involvement.
What is the cost of camp?
Tuition is $1850. It is set to cover costs like faculty time, classroom supplies, camp supplies, but it accounts for only part of the equation. Parents, faculty, friends, and families put in countless volunteer hours to make C&! possible. This year is no exception. C&! is a special community, and we are excited to have you join us.
On-Campus Housing is $1400. Lodging is on-campus residence suites at University of New Mexico for the week of camp (Sunday-Saturday). Suites accommodate up to 4 persons and are well suited for families.
Off-Campus Lodging costs are variable.
Meals costs are separate from housing and are variable.
Do you have financial assistance?
We do offer financial assistance based on family AGI and number of dependents. Email donate@campersand.org for more information.
What does the weeklong camp schedule look like?
Classes, clubs, and math stations will run Monday to Friday, approximately 8AM to 6PM with a two-hour lunch break in the middle of the day.
The day’s schedule is released closer to the camp start date, but here is a good idea of what you can expect. There will be morning and afternoon academic sessions with a lunch break of about 2 hours where campers will be checked out to parents.
Dinner is on your own. There are local restaurants that families frequent for sit-in or take out. In the evening campers and parents gather for informal socializing planned by our amazing parent volunteers.
Who is teaching?
You’ll see some familiar faces from last year as well as some new ones. Everyone has taught young students and chose to come teach you! Check our website for this year’s roster.
What courses are taught at camp?
We’ll have an array of classes and clubs that are accessible to all campers. Our faculty will be teaching their favorites, while featuring some new offerings. Courses will not be finalized until closer to the camp date. Check our past courses to see what types of classes are generally offered.
What if the classes are too easy for my camper?
Faculty have expert knowledge in their field of study and love sharing that knowledge with students. They are able to take a student narrow and deep or explore the wide breadth of that subject matter. Tell them what you find easy and they will peel back a new layer and give you a new lens of perspective. They are always up to doling out more challenges.
All the faculty chose to be here. They have taught young students before and have returned for more.
What do parents do while campers are in classes?
Parents engage in a variety of activities while their campers are in class. Some parents volunteer for the camp. Some work their regular jobs remotely.
In the past, parents coordinated a Parent Program that offered discussions, parent panels, and talks on various topics geared specifically toward parent interests.
